Language access is what SIM.AI is for, so we want our website to be usable by as many people as possible. This statement covers the SIM.AI website at ai.sim-trans.com.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have motor, cognitive or learning disabilities.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML: pages use proper headings, landmarks, lists and tables, so screen readers can navigate them.
- Keyboard navigation: menus, forms and buttons can be used with a keyboard alone, and a skip link takes you straight to the main content.
- Visible focus: a clear focus outline shows where you are on the page.
- Colour contrast: text and interface colours are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Reduced motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, we reduce or remove animations.
- Text alternatives: meaningful images have alt text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Forms: we build forms so that every field has a visible label and errors are explained in text, not by colour alone.
- Resizing: pages work when text is enlarged and on small screens.
We check key pages with automated accessibility tests and manual keyboard checks as part of our release process.
Captions are part of the product
Accessibility also shapes what we sell. SIM.AI provides live captions on guests’ own phones, with a captions-only option and the choice to show the original language. Guests who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who prefer to read, can follow along. Our live captions page explains how it works, and our responsible AI statement explains the limits of machine captions.
Known limitations
- WhatsApp: our WhatsApp button opens a service run by a third party. We cannot control its accessibility. You can always reach us by email or phone instead.
- PDF brochure: our downloadable brochure may not be fully accessible to screen readers. An accessible version is available on request, and the same information is on our web pages.
- Third-party content: links to other websites, including the main Sim Trans website, are outside the scope of this statement.
If you find a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us.
